This combination is used to treat osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and parathyroid disorders, among other things. Pharmacology of Calcin-DX Tablet

Dosage & Administration of Calcin-DX Tablet

Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily. It is best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.

Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily. It is best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption.

Interaction of Calcin-DX Tablet

It may interact with antacids containing calcium, aluminum, or magnesium, calcitriol, and other vitamin D3 supplements; digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline; and digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or oxytetracycline.

Contraindications

Hypercalcaemia, hyperthyroidism, renal calculi and nephrolithiasis, and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome are all contraindications.

Side Effects of Calcin-DX Tablet

It is well tolerated by the majority of people. If you have any side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, dry mouth, increased thirst, or excessive urination while taking this medication, tell your doctor. Constipation is a possibility.
