Chronic pains like sciatica, lumbago, trigeminal neuralgia, facial paralysis, optic neuritis as well as neuropathy & cardiac complications.. Besides these, deficiency exists of these relevant vitamins.
Vitamin B1 is a B vitamin that transforms carbs, fatty acids, and amino acids into energy, promotes nerve health, enhances mood, and strengthens the heart. Vitamin B6 helps cells build proteins, makes neurotransmitters such as serotonin, and releases stored types of energy. It also helps to prevent CVS illnesses and strokes, lifts depression, and alleviates sleeplessness. Vitamin B12 is required for cell replication and is necessary for RBC synthesis. It also prevents anemia, aids in the prevention of depression, decreases nerve discomfort, numbness, and tingling, and lowers the risk of heart disease.
The vitamin components are well absorbed when taken orally. It is found in breast milk and is extensively dispersed in most tissues. Thiamine is primarily found in the cell as diphosphate. Thiamine is not retained to any significant level in the body, and any excess is eliminated in the urine as intact thiamine or as metabolites. Following oral administration, pyridoxine, pyridoxal, and pyridoxamine are easily absorbed from the GIT and transformed to the active forms pyridoxal phosphate and pyridoxamine phosphate. They are mostly stored in the liver, where they are oxidized to 4-pyridoxic acid and other inactive metabolites, which are eliminated in the urine. As the dosage is increased, a higher proportion of it is eliminated unaltered in the urine.
Neubin® Tablet: 1-2 tablets three times a day.
Neubin® Injection: In severe cases, 1 ampoule daily until the acute symptoms subside. For milder cases and follow-up therapy 2 or 3 ampoules should be injected per week.
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) reduces therapeutic effect of levodopa but it does not occur if a dope decarboxylase inhibitor is also given. Neomycin, chloramphenicol, aminosalisylic acid & histamine H2 receptor antagonist may reduce Vitamin B12 absorption.
It should not be used in patients on levodopa therapy.
Very rarely hypersensitive reaction and sensitivity disturbance may occur.
Neubin® is safe for pregnant woman. Use in lactating mother It is not known whether thiamine (Vitamin B1) is excreted in breast milk or not, but may be taken cautiously during lactation. Vitamin B6 has no adverse effect during lactation. There is no known adverse effect on Vitamin B12 therapy also. Children: Neubin® may be given to children.
This combination (Vitamin B1+B6+B12) should be avoided in case of hypersensitivity to thiamine, cobalt or any other component of these ingredients. Cyanocobalamin should not be given before a diagnosis has been fully established because of the masking symptoms of subacute degeneration of the spinal cord.
