Indications

This pill is prescribed for the treatment and prevention of Folic Acid and Zinc deficiency.

Pharmacology

This pill contains Folic Acid and Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate in a unique formulation. Zinc is a trace element that is necessary for human nutrition and is involved in a variety of body enzyme systems. Skin lesions, baldness, diarrhoea, increased susceptibility to infections, cognitive impairment, and other symptoms are caused by severe zinc deficiency. Folic acid belongs to the B-Vitamin family. It is converted in the body to tetrahydrofolate, which serves as a coenzyme in a variety of metabolic activities, including the production of purine and pyrimidine nucleotides, and therefore the creation of DNA. It is also involved in the conversion of certain amino acids.Folic acid deficiency can arise in megaloblastic anaemia when food intake is insufficient, as in starvation, from malabsorption, from increased consumption of diseases such as haemolytic anaemia during pregnancy, and from the use of folate antagonists.

Dosage & Administration

Interaction

Zinc absorption is reduced when there is a lot of calcium in the body. There have been no reports of medication interactions with Folic Acid.

Contraindications

Zinc is not recommended for people who are allergic to it. Folic acid is not recommended for people who have untreated cobalamine insufficiency.

Side Effects

The required amount of folic acid and zinc is well tolerated. Gastrointestinal problems such as stomach discomfort, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, fever, and respiratory distress may occur on occasion.

Pregnancy & Lactation

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, this product is highly recommended.
