Flupentixol & Melitracen

 

Indications

Flupentixol and meritroxin tablets are suitable for-

• Anxiety 
• Depression 
• Indifference 
• Psychogenic depression. 
• Depressive neurosis. 
• Masked depression. 
• Psychosomatic emotions accompanied by anxiety and indifference. 
• Menopausal depression. 
• Irritability and depression of alcoholics and drug users.

 

Pharmacology

It consists of two well-known known compounds: relaxation of the flupentixola nerve with a small amount of anti-antibody properties and low-dose activation properties. In combination, the compound provides a preparation that has antidepressants, anti-anxiety and activation properties. The maximum serum concentrations are achieved approximately 4 hours after the oral administration of Francixol and approximately 4 hours after the oral administration of Meritracene. The average biological life of Francixol is approximately 35 hours, and is approximately 19 hours from meritrans. The combinations of Francixol and Meritracene do not affect the pharmacokinetic properties of individual compounds.   

 

Dosage & Administration

Adults: Usually 2 tablets orally daily in the morning and noon. In severe cases, the morning dose may be increased to 2 tablets.

Elderly patients: 1 tablet in the morning.

Maintenance dose: Usually 1 tablet orally in the morning. In cases of insomnia or severe restlessness, additional treatment with a sedative in the acute phase is recommended.

 

Interaction

This pill can improve the response to alcohol, barbiturates and other central nervous system depressants. Simultaneous administration of MAO inhibitors can cause hypertensive crisis. Neuroleptics and thyme reduce the antihypertensive effects of guanethidine and similarly acting compounds, while thyme enhances the effects of epinephrine and norepinephrine.

 

Contraindications

The immediate recovery phase after myocardial infarction. 

• Bundle branch conduction defect. 
• Untreated narrow-angle glaucoma. 
• Acute poisoning by alcohol, barbiturates and opioids. 

Patients who have received MAO inhibitors within two weeks should not take this pill. is not recommended for irritable or hyperactive patients, as its activation can cause these characteristics to be exaggerated.

 

Side-Effects

At the recommended dose, side effects are rare. These may be transient irritability and insomnia.

 

Pregnancy & Lactation

It is best not to take this pill during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

 

Precautions & Warnings

If the patient has been treated with sedatives that have a sedative effect before, they should be gradually discontinued.
