Reservix is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation in both acute and chronic pain like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dental pain, post-traumatic pain, low back pain, gynaecological pain etc.

Pharmacology

Aceclofenac could be a non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties. It could be a powerful inhibitor of the protein cyclooxygenase, which is included within the generation of prostaglandin. After verbal organization, it is quickly and totally ingested an unaltered drug.

 

Dosage and Administration of Reservix

Beservix tablet:

• Adults:The maximum recommended dose is 200 mg daily, taken as two separate 100 mg doses, one tablet in the morning and one in lhe evening.
• Children:There s no cl nrca data on the use ol aceclofenac in cht dren.
• Elderly:The pharmacokinetics of aceclofenac are not altered in edery patients. Thereiore, it is not considered
  necessary to modify the dose and dose frequency.
• Renal insufficiency: There is no evidence that the dosage ol acecloienac needs to be modltied in patients with mild renal impairment.
• Hepatic insufficiency: The dose of aceclofenac should be reduced rn patrents wlth hepatic impairment. An initial daily dose o, 100 mg should be administered.
• Reservix SR tablet:
  The recommended dose s 200 mg once daily

 

Interaction of Reservix

No noteworthy medicate intelligent has not been watched but near observing of patients is required when it is utilized with:

Lithium and Digoxin: may increment plasma concentration of lithium and digoxin.

Diuretics: may connected the movement of diuretics.

Anticoagulants: may upgrade the action of anticoagulant.

Methotrexate: may increment the plasma level of methotrexate.

 

Contraindications

Aceclofenac is contraindicated in patients previoLrsly sensitive to aceclofenac or aspirin or other NSAlDs. lt should nol be administered to patients with active or suspected peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding and moderate to severe rena impairment.

 

Side Effect of Reservix

Generally aceclofenac is well tolerated. The majority of side etfects observed have been reversible and of a minor nature and include gastrointest nal disorders (dyspepsia, abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhoea) and occasional occurance of dizziness. Dermato ogical side effects including pruritus and rash. Abnormal hepatic enzyme levels and raised serum creatinine have occasionally been reported.

 

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy: There rs no information on the use ol aceclofenac during pregnancy. Aceclofenac should not be administered during pregnancy, unless there are compelling reasons for doing so. The lowest effective dose should be adminrstered.

Lactation: There is no information on the secreton cf aceciofenac in breast miik. The use of aceclolenac should therefore be avoided during lactatron unless the potential benefits to the nrother outwergh the possible risks to the chidren.

 

Precautions & Warnings

Aceclotenac should be adm nlstered vrith caution to patienls with symptoms indicative of gastrointestinal disorders, with a history of peptic uceration, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease. hepatic porphyria, and coagulatron dsorders. Patients suffering from severe hepat c n cairment must be monitored.
