Glucosamine Sulfate + Diacerein
Glucosamine: 2amino2deoxyalphaDglucose (2amino2deoxyalphaDglucose) is a natural amino sugar produced by the human body and found in certain foods. It is the most basic building block required for the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) such as hyaluronic acid, keratan sulfate, and chondroitin sulfate. GAG combines with protein to form proteoglycan, which is the basic component of articular cartilage. Osteoarthritis occurs when the cartilage in the joint ruptures. It also helps to form ligaments, tendons, nails and various other connective tissues. When we take a synthetic glucosamine sulfate supplement, it will increase the level of glucosamine in the body, thus promoting cartilage production and repair. Glucosamine can also activate chondrocytes in cartilage and help produce GAGs and proteoglycans.
In humans, approximately 90% of glucosamine (administered orally as glucosamine sulfate) is absorbed from the digestive tract. It is mainly metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine.
Diacerein - Used to treat osteoarthritis. It also has analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory activities. It is released in vitro and directly inhibits the synthesis of interleukin 1 (IL1), which is the main cytokine involved in cartilage destruction. Due to its specific mode of action, it has been shown to improve disease in experimental models of osteoarthritis and in human subjects suffering from osteoarthritis of the finger and knee joints. The oral bioavailability of
diacerein is 56%. At the same time, food intake will delay time to maximum concentration, but it is associated with a 25% increase in absorption. Therefore, diacerein is best taken with food. It mainly binds to the protein albumin. Diacerein is extensively (100%) metabolized in the liver after oral administration. The urinary excretion of diacerein in the form of metabolites is between 35% and 60%.
Use in adults: One tablet twice daily with food.
Use in children and adolescents: The safety and effectiveness of children and adolescents under the age of 18 years have not been established.
Decrease absorption of Diacerein with aluminium and/ or magnesium hydroxide antacids. Increase risk of diarrhea with laxatives or antibiotics.
Those who have a hypersensitivity to glucosamine or dicerein should avoid it.
There have been no significant side effects recorded. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, epigastria discomfort, headache, skin rashes, and a bright yellow urine hue are all possible side effects.
This pill is not recommended for use during pregnancy or nursing.
In the event of individuals who are allergic to Glucosamine or Diacerein, caution should be exercised when delivering this pill.
