Glucosamine Sulfate + Diacerein.
This tablet is indicated in-
Glucosamine: 2amino2deoxyalphaDglucose (2amino2deoxyalphaDglucose) is a naturally occurring amino sugar produced by the human body and found in certain foods. It is the most basic building block required for the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) such as hyaluronic acid, keratin sulfate, and chondroitin sulfate. GAG combines with proteins to form proteoglycans, which is the building block of articular cartilage. When the cartilage of the joint deteriorates, osteoarthritis occurs. It also helps form ligaments, tendons, nails, and various other connective tissues. When we take a synthetic glucosamine sulfate supplement, it will increase the level of glucosamine in the body, thereby promoting the production and repair of cartilage. Glucosamine can also activate chondrocytes in cartilage and help produce GAG and proteoglycans.
In humans, approximately 90% of glucosamine (administered orally as glucosamine sulfate) is absorbed from the digestive tract. It is mainly metabolized by the liver and excreted in urine.
Diacerein: used to treat osteoarthritis. It also has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory activities. It is released in vitro and directly inhibits the synthesis of interleukin 1 (IL1), which is the main cytokine involved in cartilage destruction. Due to its specific mode of action, it has been shown to have disease ameliorating effects in experimental models of osteoarthritis and in human subjects suffering from osteoarthritis of the fingers and knees. The oral bioavailability of
Diacerein is 56%. At the same time, food intake will delay the time to reach the maximum concentration, but it is associated with a 25% increase in absorption. Therefore, diacerein is best taken with food. It mainly binds to the protein albumin. Diacerein is extensively (100%) metabolized in the liver after oral administration. The urinary excretion of diacerein in the form of metabolites is between 35% and 60%.
Use in adults: One tablet twice daily with food.
Use in children and adolescents: The safety and effectiveness of children and adolescents under the age of 18 years have not been established.
Antacids containing aluminum and/or magnesium hydroxide can help to reduce Diacerein absorption. Antibiotics or laxatives can increase the risk of diarrhea.
People who are allergic to glucosamine or diacerein are contraindicated.
There have been no major side effects reported. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, epigastria discomfort, headache, skin rashes, and a bright yellow urine hue are all possible side effects.
This tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy or nursing.
Patients who are allergic to glucosamine or diacerein should be cautious when taking this product.
